Innovative mechanism of action: anti-TFPI*
A human monoclonal antibody, HYMPAVZI is an anti-tissue factor pathway inhibitor (anti-TFPI) that may help achieve hemostasis in eligible patients with FVIII or FIX deficiency.1-4
Rebalancing vs replacing
HYMPAVZI helps to achieve hemostasis through rebalancing, which is a non-factor treatment approach that inhibits endogenous anticoagulants (eg, TFPI). This allows thrombin generation and enhances coagulation without replacing factor.1,5,6
Specific binding
HYMPAVZI targets and inhibits TFPI via the the K2 domain, thus helping to prevent TFPI’s inhibition of FXa and leading to thrombin generation and clot formation.1,7
